Job Description:
As the Front Desk Executive, you are the heartbeat of our Yogashala. Your primary role is to provide our students and visitors with a warm welcome, offering administrative support across the organization and ensuring a smooth operation of our front desk. You’ll play a crucial role in enhancing their experience, from the moment they step into our center to the time they leave, filled with the peace and energy from their practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive, providing an exceptional first impression of BKS IYENGAR YOGASHALA.
  • Manage incoming phone calls, ensuring queries are directed appropriately.
  • Maintain a tidy and presentable reception area, with all necessary materials readily available.
  • Provide detailed information in-person and via phone/email about classes, schedules, and events.
  • Ensure office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk.
  • Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock.
  • Update calendars, class schedules, and maintain records of office expenses and costs.
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying and maintain cleanliness

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience in a receptionist or front office role, preferably within a similar industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise.
  • Strong multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Customer service orientation.

BKS Iyengar Yogashala, a leading yoga center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. With over 15 years of excellence in providing Iyengar yoga education, we are expanding our operations to include an online yoga school. We seek a digitally savvy professional with a strong background in operations management to lead this exciting new project as well as operating the physical centre.The Operations Manager (OM) is responsible for ensuring the smooth operations of the Yoga Center, maintaining well-kept facilities, and providing exceptional customer service to all members and potential customers. This role also involves hiring, training, and supervising front desk and support employees, planning for the center, managing sales and marketing, resolving membership issues, and arranging classes for both the physical studio and the online yoga school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Managing Director and CEO to set strategic goals and implement business plans.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure sustainable development and long-term success.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of our upcoming BKSIYENGAR YOGASHALA online yoga school.
  • Utilize AI tools, Zoom, Google Suites, Microsoft Office (Copilot), and other relevant applications to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for team members.
  • Manage recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to build a cohesive and effective team.
  • Develop and implement customer service policies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Drive sales and marketing efforts to increase membership and organizational visibility.
  • Ensure smooth administrative operations, including class scheduling, payment procedures, and inventory management.
  • Ensure systems, procedures, and processes are accurately followed, including developing and managing proper payment procedures, desk setup, file organization, member check-in, class check-in, telephone inquiries, guest registration, cash handling, and member ID cards.
  • Maintain the upkeep and cleanliness of the Yoga Center, ensuring a safe environment for all members.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • Proven experience in operations management or a similar role.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Well-organized, with a willingness to take leadership responsibilities and work with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in AI tools, Zoom, Google Suites, Microsoft Office, and other relevant applications.
  • Good communication and writing skills in English. Ability to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work on weekdays, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Passion for yoga and wellness is a plus.
